Oman Film Society Participates in IFFA Festival in Australia to Strengthen International Cinematic Cooperation

The Oman Film Society participated in the IFFA International Film Festival in Australia with an official delegation led by Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ajmi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Fahad bin Ramadan Al-Maimani, Director of Local and International Cooperation.

This participation comes as part of the Society’s commitment to deepening cinematic collaboration with international festivals—particularly the IFFA Festival—and to opening new horizons for Omani films to engage with global platforms and influential international film events.

Through its presence at the festival, the Society sought to establish channels for future cooperation in areas such as joint film production, as well as exploring opportunities for training, development, and the exchange of expertise between Omani filmmakers and their counterparts from around the world. The participation also aims to strengthen Oman’s visibility within the global cinematic landscape, enabling local filmmakers to gain new experiences that enrich their work and contribute to the development of the film industry in the Sultanate.

The delegation emphasized that this participation represents a significant step toward supporting and empowering Omani talents, helping them reach international markets and festivals, which will positively impact the growth of the cinematic sector in Oman.
