JEDDAH:
Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the Guests of God Service Program Committee Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah said that the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 1447 AH marks a major milestone in early preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.
He highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to enhance the Hajj services system to meet the aspirations of the wise leadership and improve the overall experience of pilgrims.
The conference, held on Sunday at Jeddah Superdome in western Saudi Arabia, took place under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and with the support of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Al-Rabiah noted that this year’s edition of the conference has drawn broad international participation, attracting more than 100,000 visitors from around the world, including high-level delegations. He said that participating countries are using the platform to establish partnerships and finalize contracts in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season, reflecting the integration of efforts and continued coordination among relevant authorities.
The minister added that organizing the conference and exhibition demonstrates the Kingdom’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-organized pilgrimage experience. He pointed out that last year’s Hajj achieved a 91 percent satisfaction rate, expressing hope that this success will continue in the coming seasons.
The fifth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 1447 AH spans 60,000 square meters and features 225 speakers participating in more than 80 panel discussions and 60 workshops. The event serves as a key platform for capacity building, innovation, and collaboration to further develop and improve Hajj services.
